The story
Named after a quiet beach on the Angus coast
Dean Banks grew up in Arbroath, on the Angus coast. Just along the coast is Lunan Bay, a long and peaceful beach, and it gave the gin its name.
He launched Lunun in October 2019. The recipe brings his travels and his fusion cooking into a bottle: a Scottish gin, distilled in his hometown, built around botanicals he fell for abroad.
The label is a stylised view of Lunan Bay. As Dean put it at the launch: "There's no smoke and mirrors with Lunun."
